Hip-Life artiste Martin Kofi Arthur, popularly known as Kofi Kinaata, says his latest song has been misinterpreted, insisting many do not understand the message he tried to communicate.

Kofi Kinaata laments misinterpretation of his hit song “Confession”

The artiste released a hit track titled “Confession” last December, which has so far enjoyed massive airplay across the country.

Kinaata, who is signed on the Highgrade Family act, says his reason for composing the song was to “advice people against drunk driving” but has been surprised by its misinterpretation.

I wanted to use the song to advice people,” Kinaata said in an interview with Mercy Bee on Happy FM.

The message of the song was meant to advice people against drunk driving. So it’s about someone who has done a mistake and confessing but people didn’t understand the message and are rather drinking more“.

“The message is ‘don’t drink and drive’ but people are now drinking even more and confessing.”

The song “Confession” was produced by King Dee records and has recently been used by social media bloggers as a tune for videos of drunk people.
